eCounterfeit Alliance

The agency Prove came to the CurtDoty.co to help a startup client launching unique FinTech service that combats eCounterfeiting. The challenge was to name the brand, create an identity and create the investment deck, website and sales collateral to support the launch.

The Name

The opportunity to create a new name was interesting because the concept of the tech and the offering was to build an alliance between brands to combat the dark forces that continually sell counterfeit products through eCommerce. For people to truly understand the magnitude of the problem, as well as embrace the fact that the industry can do more together than apart. Hence, the final name became the eCounterfeit Alliance.

The Logo

The concept of the icon centered around the celebration of “Coming Together” supporting the strategy of an alliance, the many come to support the one.

Combining a custom logotype with the icon completed the logo lockup. The tagline finished the lockup and supported the positioning that by joining the alliance, brands will be more POWERFUL, TOGETHER. And yes, the “A’s” in Alliance are the components of the icon. Clever, right?

The Positioning

A Bold New Approach In The Fight Against Counterfeiting

eCounterfeit Alliance is making the internet safer for brands and their customers.

Brands and those in charge of combatting online counterfeiting are fighting this war against criminals who attack many brands at once. They are embarrassed, beleaguered, under-gunned and frustrated with the current set of tools and services. We are proving a new model, one in which cooperation across multiple participating brands backed by sophisticated data-gathering technology combine to create a powerful force to reduce the severity, cost and frequency of counterfeiting. Pooling financial resources, erstwhile competitors are able to far more effectively fight to disrupt and reduce counterfeiting than when working alone.

Brands are looking for an effective, ongoing program that consistently is finding counterfeiters, identifying them, relating them to other counterfeiters and quickly taking them out of circulation.
