About Us

We formed curtdoty.co in response to the growing industry need of specialists focused on the changing landscape in Digital. We build custom teams for our clientele, matching skillsets to our client’s goals. Our specialties include integrated marketing, multi-channel storytelling, branding, identity and user experience design. We offer a range of strategic thinking as well, including Platform, Creative, Millennial, Social and Digital Ecosystem Architecture.

Our Leader

Curt Doty is an award-winning Creative Executive who brings leadership experience across the entertainment, marketing and branding worlds. Lately, he has consulted with agencies such as Rogers & Cowan, Troika, Prove, Walton Isaacson and SynaVoice helping such accounts as the Federal Housing Authority, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Topps, The Grammys, Maserati, AARP, Spalding, Z-Living, Edlio, Arctic Cat, Wizard World,  Red Bull, E Entertainment, Starz and many more.

Curt has an extensive legacy in the business and comes from the world of content marketing where he led the Los Angeles office of Weber Shandwick in building a creative and content group to service their network of offices and accounts. Brand clients included GM, Carl’s Jr., Bausch + Lomb, Pond’s, Covered California, Degree and Motorola. His responsibilities included Creative Direction, P&L, Project Management and Process.

Architecting digital campaigns around storytelling and instilling a sense of innovation, he delivered a high quality product life cycle collaborating with editorial and content teams. Working with GoGo, Motorola, Genentech, Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, TracFone, AAPD, USPS, Ubisoft, Abbott and more, he brought leadership and fresh thinking to the agency. His tech collaborative steered product development and innovation for connecting brands and consumers in new ways. His responsibilities include Digital Strategy, Business Development, Technology partnerships, Creative Direction, P&L, Project Management and process.

Over the past 6 years, Curt has led the design and development of over 20 mobile apps, including working R&D deals with Microsoft and Apple pioneering the first interactive movies for your smartphone, early iAd production and innovating in the multi-touch eBook space.

He led the Digital Group at Bemis Balkind based in Los Angeles, California. Curt built up their expertise in the design and development for mobile and TV apps, mobile web, social outreach, viral videos and also launched a full digital publishing team. With successes in product development for multi-touch eBooks and movie marketing, Les Miserables, Hitchcock, The Sessions, Beasts of the Southern Wild and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel became a new touch point for consumers.

Curt also launched and helmed the Advanced Content Group for entertainment marketing agency Trailer Park, where he focused on short and long form content and user experience. Within 2 successful years, the innovative and award-winning group became known for their UX design and development across all screens, big and small as well as creating compelling behind the scenes content with crews around the world. The mobile, iTV and digital publishing units he formed, captured the multi-touch experience.

He has over 10 years in the production/post-production world, directing the live action of all his own shoots and concepts for branding and storytelling image campaigns for clients such as Warner Bros TV, TV Guide, Discovery, ABC, FX, StarTV Asia and SAT.1. In 2004, Doty was recruited into the home entertainment world of Universal Pictures. As a new creative executive on the lot, his creativity expanded through the proliferation of the many integrated marketing campaigns for new releases that he led. Curt and his team creatively led the launch of HD DVD and Blu-ray for Universal with great reviews and industry awards. 

He serves on the advisory board of SPARK Neuro and continues to be a thought leader, visionary and outspoken creative on what is happening in Tech, Content and Design.
